Govt’s 2nd anniv: PM asks Cabinet colleagues to highlight achievements

These achievements of the NDA government’s work in the past two years will be disseminated through a series of press conferences to be held by the respective Ministers.

“Even though Parliament is in session, we are currently working on preparing the details for the information which will be disseminated to the media soon,” said a senior official from one of the key ministries. The officials in the ministries are compiling the required information, which will be sent to the PMO after being finalised by the respective ministers. These press conferences will be held post Parliament, expected to start by the end of the month.

With BJP-led NDA government set to complete two years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday listed Mudra scheme, increased LPG coverage and electrification of villages as its major achievements and asked all the BJP MPs to make the achievements public through these press conferences.

The BJP-led NDA Government will complete two years in office on May 26 and the occasion will be marked by celebrations to highlight the successful schemes of the government.

PM Modi, who recently chaired a meeting of the BJP parliamentary party, gave clear directives to his Cabinet colleagues to highlight the government’s achievements before the people to mark two years in office. Speaking to the Millennium Post after the meeting, Minister of State for Skill Development Rajiv Pratap Rudy said that a review was done of the business in both the Houses of Parliament.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the government is going to complete its two years and so, it is high time that we should work towards taking all the schemes initiated by the government to the people of the nation.”
