Fatboy Slim to wow India on Saturday

After Pitbull, lady Gaga and Metallica, India’s going to get a taste of Fatboy Slim. The concert dates have been announced, and it looks like summer in Delhi is off to a blazing start. Kicking off the tour with the concert in Gurgaon on 5 May, the dance music superstar will head off to Bengaluru the following day for the second concert.
Fatboy Slim aka Norman Quentin Cook (born Quentin Leo Cook) is a British DJ, electronic dance musician and record producer. He’s known for his beach music and dance numbers and he ruled the charts with Weapon of Choice, Praise You, The Rockafeller Skank and Right Here Right Now.
Fatboy Slim would be delivering high octane and electrifying live performances with some of the country’s best production and visual effect techniques. The Gurgaon leg of the tour will witness opening acts by DJ Arjun Vagale of the Jalebee Cartel and Dualist inquiry and will be hosted by Nikhil Chinapa. The Bengaluru leg will be opened by DJ Ivan and will be hosted by Rohit Barker.
Metallica’s performance in Delhi was cancelled after the crowd went out of control for being made to wait for too long and the band refusing to perform unless they were provided better security. Sources had also said that the band was unhappy with the sound set up on the ground. The Bengaluru concert however went off well till the chaos after the concert. The audience came out after the performance to find their bags ransacked and possessions missing.
Lady Gaga was performing only for the lucky few at the F1 after party and Pitbull’s performance was marred by most of the audience being asked to leave as the club he was performing in - Quantum in Noida - was overcrowded.
