Zico backs Neuer for Ballon d'Or’

Brazilian legend Zico says German goalkeeper Manuel Neuer should be awarded the Ballon d’Or this year as he is the most deserving candidate for the trophy following sterling performances in the 2014 World Cup and also for German football club Bayern Munich. “I think Neuer should get the award as he was one of the best players in the World Cup and also has been for Bayern Munich so far,” Zico, coach of ISL franchise FC Goa, told reporters here.

Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo, Argentine Lionel Messi and Neuer are the nominees of FIFA Ballon d’Or award.
