Youth, truly pillar of our country: CM
Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has said that India is going through a great transition and it is the responsibility of the youth to make sure that it meets the justified conclusion. Addressing the DG National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day parade camp on Tuesday, Dikshit expressed her concern on the civil society and other groups who are questioning the very system, the value system that is being followed in the country for so many years. Dikshit said we have done a lot of work, lot of progress since independence, now India is an educated, fast developing, self-dependent country and people should realise the positive achievement of the country.

Meanwhile, during her address, Dikshit also lauded the efforts of NCC in bringing about the change in the youth profile of the Nation by its untiring effort and dedication. She also praised the cadets for their superlative performance.

Earlier, chief minister was received by Lt Gen PS Bhalla, Director General National Cadet Corps (DG NCC). NCC boys brass band from Sainik School, Kapurthala presented a delightful display of finest pieces of music playing martial tunes. The enchanting tunes and lithe movement of the bands were like glistening dew drops earning applause from one and all amongst the audiences. CM also inspected the well laid out tableaus prepared by the NCC cadets from all NCC Directorates depicting the various social Awareness themes. Later, the CM witnessed a group dance performance showcasing the diverse talent of young cadets.
