Youth stabbed to death over suspicion of killing

A youth was stabbed to death by his friend who suspected him of having a role in murder of his brother a year back, in Tilak Nagar area of west Delhi, police said on Monday.

Victim Balbeer (23), was at his home in Guru Nanak Nagar Colony of Tilak Nagar area when his friend Shera took him away around 12 in the night on Sunday. Later, Shera returned to inform Balbeer’s family that he was stabbed by someone and admitted to a hospital. 

When the family members rushed to the hospital, doctors told them Balbeer had died due to excessive bleeding. Police reached the hospital at around 3.30 am and carried out preliminary inquiry. Police said that Shera who is accused of stabbing Balbeer had himself admitted the latter to the hospital after he allegedly stabbed him in the thigh. 

Balbeer, however, died at the hospital due to blood loss from his injury. Shera is absconding and efforts are being made to apprehend him. Preliminary inquiry revealed that he suspected Balbeer of having a role behind murder of his brother two years ago although they were in talking terms, said a cop.
