Youth caught for moving suspiciously near air force station

Police have arrested one person for aimlessly strolling near the Air Force station at Panagarh.  After the Pathankot airbase attack, the incident triggered tension in the area. The question of how the accused entered into the high security zone is yet to be ascertained. According to a Defense official, two persons were found strolling inside the airbase. According to the official, some villagers found two persons walking suspiciously inside the airbase. 

One was handed over to the police while search was conducted to nab the other one. “No such incident had taken place inside the air force station. Two persons were spotted by the villagers near the air force station. One was handed over to the police while the police were investigating if there was another person,” a Defense spokesperson said. Police said that the accused has been identified as Mehboob Alam, 35, who was a resident of Kaliachak area in Malda. 

Police were not divulging any other information relating to the accused.
