Younis snubbed by selectors again

Veteran batsman Younis Khan was again ignored when the national selectors announced the Pakistan’s ODI squad for the upcoming <g data-gr-id="15">limited overs</g> tour of Zimbabwe on Wednesday.

“If the selectors don’t pick me in the ODI squad it will never become stable. If they don’t select me it will injustice with me,” Younis told Geo Super channel few days back.

But apparently his words had no effect on the selectors who again sidelined him while announcing the ODI squad for the three matches in Zimbabwe in early October. Younis in his interview had insisted he was still capable of doing well in one-day internationals and his recent performances in other formats should be enough to win him a recall.

Younis has played just a handful of ODIs for Pakistan since March 2013 although the senior batsman remains a consistent performer in test matches his last innings against Sri Lanka also ending with a hundred.

Younis, 37, who made his 100th Test appearance in the last series in Sri Lanka this year said he had always got a raw deal in ODIs including the World Cup.
