Yet another minor raped in UP, accused arrested

In yet another heinous crime, a five-year-old girl was criminally assaulted by her 17 year old neighbour in Hafizganj area of Bareilly city on Monday night. Police sources here on Monday said that while the minor girl was playing outside her house, a boy took her to a closed factory and raped her. Police have registered a case and arrested the accused.The girl has been sent for medical examination.
A rape spree has continued unabated in Uttar Pradesh in the past few days. Two more minors were sexually assaulted in Deoria and Varanasi districts on Sunday.
Meanwhile, two persons were held late last night in connection with the sensational murder of Neha Sharma, a research scholar, in the Dayalbagh Educational Institute laboratory in New Agra area on 15 March.
