Yemen biz team to visit Bengal to assess investment prospects

A delegation of businessmen from Yemen is expected to visit the city in June to assess the investment prospect in the state.

Tariq Izzaldeen Hassan Al-Mouthen, Commercial Counselor, the embassy of the Republic of Yemen to India, on Tuesday expressed his idea of the visit of the delegation to make the entrepreneurs from Yemen aware of the immense potential of the state in terms of investment and bilateral trade. He was speaking in a seminar on India-Gulf Business Exchange organised by the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Tuesday.

The chamber of commerce’s president Ambarish Dasgupta readily accepted the Commercial Counselor’s proposal and assured that a book “Discover Bengal”, containing detailed outline about the state’s status in terms of investment and its prospect, will be given to them within the next two weeks.
