Won’t shield anyone in IAS death: K’taka CM

Reacting to JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy questioning his visit to the hospital during Ravi’s autopsy and his allegation that it was an attempt to influence the case, Siddaramaiah said the charge was “childish, irresponsible and politically motivated.”

Meanwhile, Ravi’s wife R Kusuma has been hospitalised due to stress. Her father said she fell ill after reading newspaper reports on her personal life. Her father also said that they will be filing a defamation case against a newspaper.

Sagayam as the then District Collector of Madurai in 2011 has pegged loss to the state exchequer due to illegal granite quarrying at Rs 16,000 crore.
