Woman’s body found in canal

Body of an unidentified woman, aged between 20 years and 25 years, was found floating in a canal
near the Hyderpur Water Treatment Plant in outer Delhi on Friday evening.
There were no documents found near the body neither anything else that can help the police identity her, said a police official.
It was a worker at the plant who noticed the body who saw it at around 5 pm and called the police control room.
A case of murder has been registered. From preliminary investigation, it appears that the woman was killed and then her body was thrown in the canal. However, it is difficult to say where the incident had actually taken place because the canal begins from Haryana, said a police official.
