Woman sets herself ablaze in front of CM’s residence

Apparently depressed over being unemployed, a 38-year-old woman on Friday set herself ablaze in front of Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal’s residence here, police said.
Identified as Gurpreet Kaur, the woman has received 40 per cent burn injuries and has been admitted to general hospital, police said.
The incident took place this morning when the woman set herself afire at the ground across the road in front of Badal’s residence.
