Woman raped inside Salt Lake guest house

A woman was allegedly raped inside a guest house in Salt Lake. Police have started a probe into the incident on the basis of the complaint of the woman. The victim, who is originally from Jharkhand and now residing at Bansdroni area told the police that she had lent the accused some money. The accused had told her to come to the guest house to get the money back.

The woman alleged that when she went to the guest house the accused closed the door and windows and raped her. The accused had planned the crime when she repeatedly asked him to pay back the money.

After receiving the complaint, the Bidhannagar police raided the house of the accused but he had already fled the house after committing the crime. Police were conducting raids to nab the culprit. 

The local residents had raised question on how the owner could not have the slightest of idea that a woman was physically tortured inside a room. They also demanded a proper probe into the incident.

The police are also verifying the statement of the victim. They were also investigating whether the woman was involved in a relationship with the accused but later lodged a complaint following some quarrel.

According the police the woman lodged a complaint with the Bidhannagar North police station on Thursday and claimed that she was raped by the accused youth on Wednesday. She also told the police that the accused was originally from other state but living in the city for past few years.

The police were interrogating the owner of the guest house which the accused had rented and where the alleged rape had taken place. Police have started a detail probe into the incident and conducting raids to nab the accused.
