Woman murdered in her rented office by unknown assailants

A 45-year-old woman was murdered by two unidentified assailants at her rented office in East Delhi’s Shakarpur area on Wednesday afternoon. The victim has been identified as Nisha Khan who was the owner of a printing press. Police have not ruled out the possibility of the murderer being someone who was known to the victim.

According to the police, the incident took place at around 2 pm on Wednesday afternoon when two unidentified men entered the rented office and asked for a cup of tea. Out of the two employees of the press who were present along with Khan, one was sent to get the cup of tea while the second was held hostage at gun point by one of the assailants. In the meantime, one of the accused assailants slit Khan’s throat with a knife after which both of them fled from the spot. The employees made a PCR call and the police rushed the victim to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead on arrival. Police also said that one of the accused assailants robbed the employee who was held hostage of Rs 8000.

According to the police, Nisha Khan’s husband died few years ago. Living with her three children in West Vinod Nagar area, she rented out a room in the Shakarpur area to start the printing press.

A senior police official said that they are suspecting the employees in having something to do with the murder. A case of murder has been registered at the Shakarpur police station under Section 302 of the IPC against the accused persons. Police have started the investigation and have recorded the statement of the two employees who work for the victim.
