Woman arrested for torturing minor help

A woman software engineer was sent to jail on Sunday for torturing her minor domestic help. The police would be now sending the domestic help back to her native place in Jharkhand.
Munni, a 14-year-old girl, approched the Sector 58 police station in Noida with cuts, burns and bruises on her face and body to complain against her employer. In her statement to the police, she submitted that her employer used to beat her mercilessly. On her complaint, the police raided the apartment of the accused in Sector 62 and detained the accused.
The accused, Meenakshi (32), is a software engineer in a Gurgaon-based firm and was living with her husband, who is also a software engineer, but works for a firm in Noida. Meenakshi, however, denied the charges. The police arrested her after medical examination of the victim. She was produced in the court on Sunday morning and sent to jail.
The victim hails from Gumla in Jharkhand and was arranged by Mahaveer Placement Agency based in Delhi.
