Woman alleges rape by live-in partner on pretext of marriage

A woman in her 50’s has alleged that a man has raped her in the Pondicherry House in New Delhi’s Chanakyapuri area. The police have registered an FIR and are investigating the case.

The woman in her complaint has alleged that the man who works as a driver has raped her in Pondicherry House. The police have filed an FIR after she approached the cops.

According to sources the woman who works as a helper in Pondicherry House was in a relationship with the man but he later refused to marry her. The woman also alleges that the man has also concealed the fact from her that he is married. 

The woman approached the police at Chanakyapuri police station when she felt that she has been sexually exploited for a long time by the accused on the pretext of marrying her. 

“We have registered a case of rape and further investigation is on. We are investigating the case and action would be taken accordingly after the facts come to our notice,” said a senior police officer.
