Why target our children and wives? Kejriwal asks media

Defending Vishwas, Kejriwal attacked media saying, “Why are you (media) targeting our children and wives? We have decided to keep quiet now. Questions about our government will be answered, won’t answer on this.” He added, “For the past two-three months, some media houses are making efforts to defame the AAP and the government. Your fight is with us. Do not drag our families, children and wives into this.” 

When asked about Vishwas’ alleged affair with the woman, the Chief Minister said, “Vishwas is denying it, the woman herself is denying it,” adding that his party leader’s family was suffering because of this controversy. “His whole family is suffering from depression. His children are being asked in school about the alleged affair.”

Meanwhile, Vishwas said he had received no summon and had not appeared before the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW), headed by former Congress MLA Barkha Shukla Singh. He alleged that the rival Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were trying to malign his character and AAP. He lashed out at media and the BJP, saying that instead of questioning the complainant’s husband, he was being put in the dock.

Meanwhile, the DCW meet on Tuesday witnessed high drama, after an altercation broke out between Singh and her colleague Juhi Khan, who defended Vishwas. When Singh accused Khan of being an AAP member, the latter offered to resign from the panel and walked out of the meeting.
