When haircut made Anne bawl

Actress Anne Hathaway couldn’t stop crying when her hair was cut short for a scene in Les Miserables.
Dirrector Tom Hooper decided to cut her hair off with a knife for her role to look more authentic. Actress Nicola Sloane, who was given the task, revealed how difficult it was for Hathaway.
‘The director said, ‘I want it to look really vicious. We need you to be hacking at it with a knife’,’ mirror.co.uk quoted Sloane as saying.
‘She was all right and I had cut all the front and this little voice went ‘cut’. I thought ‘oh she’s had enough’ so I moved my hands away and then she burst into tears when she felt how short it was at the front. It was just before she got married. There’s no wonder she bawled her eyes out. Then I hacked it all and made her look terrible,’ she added.
