When Bollywood called Delhi

Bollywood paid Delhi a visit to launch director Piyush Jha’s debut novel.  After making commercials for some of the country’s largest brands apart from writing and directing feature films like Chalo America, King of Bollywood and Sikandar, Jha now presents his creativity in the form of a crime fiction novel, Mumbaistan: 3 Explosive Crime Thrillers.

The book takes a peek into Mumbai as the city of dreams for many. But for others, a nightmare. This is the author’s debut novel — a compilation of three unforgettable fast-paced crime stories set on the streets of Mumbai.

The book was unvieled at a function on 29 September in the city. Present at the occassion were Bollywood actress Chitrangada Singh and film director Sudhir Mishra along with journalist and lyricist, Neelesh Misra,

‘It is fascinating to see Piyush Jha foray into the literary world with this crime fiction novel that presents an insightful account of the dream city’s dark secrets,’ said Dipak Marwah, VP and Business Head, Reliance TimeOut, speaking at the launch.

Ekta Kapoor called the novel a - ‘A potboiling page-turner packed with three main ingredients: entertainment, entertainment and entertainment!’
