Sheer seems to be everywhere. How do I incorporate this trend in my daily routine? What is the easiest way to pull off sheer?

Well, sheer can be a part of your wardrobe all the time. A lacy top can be teamed with a shirt along with denim trousers. A nice lacy top with an ankle-length trouser can also be your workwear. Wear sheer trend with oodles of oomph [read confidence]. And if you are a conservative dresser, sheer lacy sleeves are always a good option. A lacy top with a leather jacket can also be a great outfit.

The key word to impress your employer is your personality. A good fragrance can be of great help. You can stick to neutrals and add a bit of quirk with some nice accessory, like a statement cuff or neckpiece. Don’t overdo. A classic pair of shoes will complete your entire look.

It’s obvious that trends will change every season.  But if you develop a style sense of your own it might help. Collect some elements of every trend to make your wardrobe complete. If you are in for classical dressing, then a white shirt and blue denim are your picks with a nice bag and shoes. For retro, you can pick up a funky eyewears or a headband. A scarf that can be draped in millions of ways and can make you look fashionable.

The buzzword for neon is to avoid overdoing it. Neon should be added a bit. A boring outfit be made interesting with the help of a neon statement accessory like neon shoes and bags.  For officewear, it is  better to stick to a neon accessory. It’s your attitude that needs to match this trend.


I am 5ft 8” & pretty thin. I like to wear fitted clothes. These days I feel something looks missing. Please advice.

CSF: You need to add a bit of fullness to your attire to solve this problem. Avoid vertical stripes, & stick to horizontal stripes. Cowl neck or cowl sleeves top can be your friend. A scarf around the neck can also look good. These days a lot of draped pants in cotton & jersey are available, you can stick to them as well for a fuller bottom.
