WB govt waits for Kunal Ghosh’s medical reports

The West Bengal government will decide if suspended Trinamool Congress MP and Saradha scam accused Kunal Ghosh is required to be shifted from jail hospital only after going through his medical reports.

“Ghosh is undergoing treatment at the hospital inside the correctional home and a team of doctors is examining him. Let them give their reports on Ghosh’s health and then we will decide,” West Bengal’s minister of correctional administration Haider Aziz Safwi said.

Asked whether Ghosh is reportedly not eating since one week protesting against alleged torture on him inside the Correctional Home, Safwi said he has no such information. “I have no such information that Ghosh has complained of any torture inside the Correctional home. As far as I know he is eating on and off... But he is definitely not on hunger strike,” he said.

Ghosh had a medical check-up done by SSKM doctors before he was shifted to the hospital in the
Presidency Correctional Home yesterday.
