UP home secretary Anil Kumar Gupta removed

Rattled by the increase in the incidents of crime against women, the Uttar Pradesh government on Monday removed the state principal secretary (Home) Anil Kumar Gupta. Official sources here said that Gupta has been removed from the post of Principal Secretary Home, Prisons, Visa and Vigilance with immediate effect and has been put on waiting.Â
On Saturday last , UP government had removed chief secretary Javed Usmani and put Alok Ranjan in his place. The Akhilesh Yadav government is in the midst of a huge controversy following the gangrape and murder of two Dalit sisters in Badaun last week.
