UP budget session begins today

This being the first session of the year it will start with the joint session to be addressed by Governor BL Joshi. BJP Legislature party has decided to boycott Governor’s address saying it would be full of fabricated figures.

Principal secretary, state legislative assembly Pradeep Dubey said  that it will be short session. ‘As per details provided by the state government, the budget session will continue till February 28.

During this period Chief Minister will present vote on account on 21 February,’ Dubey said.
This session will have practically six working days. On 19 February Governor will address the joint session while the next day the House will adjourn after passing obituary references. On 21 February vote on account would be tabled and the same day debate on Governor’s address will start which will continue for next four working days.

‘The government may also table some repealing bills which is mandatory as per constitution,’ the principal secretary said.
