Unidentified body of woman found wrapped in polythene

A body of a woman in her late twenties was found wrapped in a polythene outside a temple in Vasant Vihar area of South Delhi on Friday morning. She is yet to be identified.

The incident came to light when the police received a PCR call at around 4 am about the matter. The caller told police that a body of a woman was lying in a polythene outside Ganganath Mandir.
When the police team reached the spot, she was found wrapped in a black color polythene and was wearing a red and black printed top and black leggings. 

She was having old cut marks on her left arm. She was taken to the mortuary where her body has been preserved.

“We are yet to establish the identity of the woman. Also, we have informed all the police stations about the body and her identity is being verified with the missing cases registered with the Delhi Police,” a senior police official said.
