Tyre giant MRF’s quarterly profit flat at Rs 180 cr

Tyre maker MRF Ltd on Thursday reported almost flat standalone net profit in the December quarter at Rs 179.89 crore.
The Chennai-based tyre manufacturer reported net profits of Rs 180.22 crore in October-December quarter of the previous year, MRF Ltd said in a filing to the stock exchanges.
MRF Ltd follows September-October as its financial year. For the financial year ending 30 September, 2013 the standalone net profits of the company stood at Rs 802.21 crore. The standalone total income from operations for the first quarter ending 31 December, 2013 grew to Rs 3,200.57 crore from Rs 3,025.75 crore registered during the same period last year. For the financial year ending 30 September, 2013 the standalone total income from operations stood at Rs 12,131.16 crore, it said.
