Two persons including a woman suffered bullet injuries after they protested against ‘vulgar’ dancing of some girls at a programme in Asansol on Friday night.
The victims, Rajkumar Singh and Sumitra Devi were taken to the hospital. Police said that Singh had protested against ‘vulgar’ dancing of some women which was organised at marriage ceremony at Asansol.
As the victims asked the organisers to stop playing loudspeakers at a high pitch and also asked them to stop the ‘vulgar’ dancing, the miscreants first beat up the victims and later shot them from a point blank range. Local people rescued the victims and took them to a nearby hospital.
