Two minors injured in road accident

A 4-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy were injured after a car hit them on Monday morning. 

According to information, a minor was driving the vehicle with the driver sitting next to him and giving instructions. The car was seized and the errant minor and the driver were arrested.  Later, the minor was released on bail. The girl was admitted to a private nursing home and her brother was released after treatment.

The police said the victims Arunabha Pal along with his sister Debadrita were walking along the road when a Honda City car hit them from behind. The girl is a student of Kamala Girls High School.

The boy, who was driving the car, is a resident of KIT Road.  Local people who were standing near the site of accident raised alarm and stopped the vehicle.
