Two medical colleges in West Bengal get 50 more seats each

Seats in West Bengal’s Calcutta National Medical College and Medinipur Medical College have been increased after the intervention of the state government, officials said on Thursday. The state government had sent a proposal to the Medical Council of India, which added another 100 seats, they said. The number of seats in Calcutta National Medical College have been increased to 200 from 150 and in Midnapore Medical College, the seats have been increased from 100 to 150, officials added.
