Two juvenile snatchers apprehended; cellphones and laptops recovered

The city police have apprehended two juvenile snatchers. Based on inputs provided by the duo, the police recovered costly electronic gadgets from Central Delhi's Ranjit Nagar area.

The juvenile offenders were reportedly members of a gang involved in snatching cases in various parts of Delhi.

One of them was caught while targeting a woman and her daughter near Patel Nagar Metro station on October 2. However, his other accomplices managed to flee with the mobile phone and the purse of the girl, said DCP (Central) Mandeep Singh Randhawa.

Later, the police carried out raids and managed to nab another juvenile offender from Multani Dhanda at Paharganj. The mobile phone of the girl was recovered from him, the DCP said.

However, the two main members of the gang – Ajit and Sahil – are on the run and efforts were on to arrest them, he added.

During a search carried out on the basis of information provided by the duo, the police managed to recover 50 mobile phones, two tablet computers, a camera and a laptop, the DCP said.
