Two held for stabbing youth, one still at large

Two days after a 22-year-old man was stabbed to death in a road rage incident, Delhi Police have apprehended two of the accused including a juvenile in connection with the murder, police said on Monday. The third accused is still at large.

The incident took place on late Saturday evening when Salman, the victim, was standing at a shop in East Delhi’s Jyoti Nagar area. In the meantime, three motorcycle-borne men came and accidentally hit Salman. After Salman advised them to drive properly, they stopped and stabbed him to death.

The accused were arrested on Monday from their residence in East Delhi. One of the accused has been identified as Irfan while the other is a juvenile.

Irfan has been sent to Tihar Jail and the juvenile was sent to the juvenile justice board. A man-hunt is on to nab the third accused, police said. Salman was a resident of South-east Delhi’s Okhla. During the investigation, it was learnt that after celebrating Eid with his family, Salman went to meet his friends and relatives in Jyoti Nagar where he was killed. He used to work with his father in a canteen at Jamia Millia Islamia University.
