Two former AGP leaders join BJP

The rush of leaders from other political parties joining the Bharatitya Janata Party continues as two former Asom Gana Parishad leaders joined the party on Monday.
Former AGP president Chandra Mohan Patowary, senior AGP leader and former minister Hitendra Nath Goswami and a large number of supporters were inducted into the party by BJP president Rajnath Singh here.
With the joining of these leaders, the BJP which has so far declared five candidates including three sitting MPs in Assam for Lok Sabha elections is expecting to boost its electoral performance.
