Two bodies recovered in different parts of city

A youth’s body was found from a jewellery shop in Bowbazar on Friday. In another incident, the body of an old man was found off the road of Tinkanya at New Town. In both the cases, police have initiated a probe.

Police said, Sudip Saha, a youth was found dead inside the jewellery shop at Bowbazar. Saha, a resident of North 24 Parganas’ Baranagar, was the cashier of that shop and was on duty till Thursday night. Police has recovered his body on Friday.

However, the reason of the death is still unclear to the police. Sudip was an obedient worker, the owners of the shop said to the investigator.

The investigator, however, found a suicide note which was lying near the body. The content of the note was not revealed by the cops for the sake of investigation.

Investigators learnt that Saha had stayed in the shop after his colleague had left it on Thursday night. He took a blade to cut the vein in wrist. “He was lying in the pool of blood in front of a chamber of the jeweller. We recovered the body and took the blood sample for investigation. The body has been sent to autopsy,” said an investigating officer.

“The body was lying in the floor of the shop. His suicide note has given us some clues. We have started a case,” the investigating officer said.

In another case, the Bidhannagar police have recovered a body of a man, who was apparently thrashed by heavy weapon on his face on Friday. In the evening, the police managed to identify him.
“Nepal Saha, the 30-year-old person was resident of North 24 Parganas Baranagar. We are trying to figure out the reason for his arrival in this area,” an investigating officer of Bidhannagar Commissionerate said.
