Two arrested for shooting at doc

Noida police has arrested two youths who allegedly shot at a senior doctor when he refused to prescribe them narcotic drugs, to which they were addicted.
‘The accused have been identified as Hitesh, 24, and Amit, 23, who hail from district Bulandshahar in Uttar Pradesh and were presently residing in Sector 7 in Noida. They have confessed to the crime and accepted that they shot at the doctor, as he was not prescribing the drugs,’ said A K Singh, Inspector of Sector 20 police station in Noida.
According to reports, the incident took place around 8 pm on Friday, when these two entered the clinic of Dr B P Srivastava at Sector 26 in Noida.
While Srivastava was examining one of them, the other took out his pistol and shot at the doctor. The bullet hit him in the neck. Srivastava’s wife was the lone witness to the attack.
‘He is now out of danger but has been put under observation,’ said spokesperson of Kailash Hopital in Noida.
