Tutor beats up student for urinating accidently

A private tutor allegedly beat up a 5-year-old boy for his failure to go out of the room for urinating.

The incident had taken place at Baranagar in North 24-Parganas when the victim had gone to take private tuition at the residence of a woman who teaches students at her house.

The family members of the victim lodged a complaint at the police station against the teacher on the basis of which police have started a probe in this regard.

The victim, a student from a nearby school went to the house of the accused for tuition. The boy somehow urinated inside the room. The victim did not tell his teacher about the incident apprehending he might be rebuked. But when the accused came to know about the incident, she beat him up with a scale. The boy received injuries on various parts of his body.

When the boy’s mother went to the teacher’s house later in the evening on Friday, the boy broke down in tears and showed her the injury marks. He was also humiliated by the teacher in front of other students.

The victim’s mother alleged that the boy was beaten up by the accused by a wooden scale in which he received several injuries. The victim was rushed to Baranagar State General Hospital. He was, however, released from the hospital later on after primary treatment.

On the basis of the complaint, police have started an inquiry into the incident. It may be mentioned that a similar incident had taken place a private school in Dum Dum.
