Truck loses control, crushes couple, child to death

Three persons  including a eight-year-old child were killed while three others were critically injured in a major accident that occurred on Friday at around 6 pm when an over-speeding truck lost control and collided with a wall of a house in Bakapur located near Khurja road in Greater Noida. The police said that the truck lost control and rammed into a wall of a house which caused death of three persons including a child who was playing outside of house. Three others including a cleaner, driver and a local were also mowed down by the truck.

“As soon as the police received the information of the accident, a local PCR van and police team reached the spot to investigate the matter. All the injured persons including the accused driver were rushed to a nearby hospital,” said Sanjay Singh, SP rural, Greater Noida Police.

The couple and the eight-year-old child died on the spot. The police, during initial investigation, said that the reason behind the accident could be due to break failure. “We have registered a case of rash and negligent driving against the accused driver. 

The police are waiting for the statement of the accused driver as he is still unconscious and is recuperating,” added Singh.
