Truck crushes youth to death

An MCD employee was crushed to death in Buddh Vihar area of outer Delhi on Friday. The incident took place when a speeding truck hit a motorcycle from behind. The deceased has been identified as Jaspal, 26, a resident of Buddh Vihar. Jaspal was on his way to office.
Mid-way, a speeding truck hit him from behind and he lost control over the bike. ‘The errant driver managed to escape from the crime scene but the truck has been taken into custody. Jaspal died on the spot, as his head was crushed under the tyres of the truck,’ said an official. He added that a case of rash and negligent driving causing death has been registered against the truck driver. ‘The body has been sent for post-mortem and a manhunt is being carried out to nab the accused,’ said the official.
