Trinamool to start campaign against CPI(M) from Jan 25

The Trinamool Congress (TMC) will launch massive campaign between January 25 and 29 to make people aware of the development programmes taken up by the state government in the past four-and-a-half years.

The party’s main aim is to counter the CPI(M)’s campaign that no development work in the state  had taken place in the past four-and-a-half years and around 38,000 industrial units have been closed.

It may be recalled that Chief Ministers Mamata Banerjee had asked all the ministers to complete the ongoing projects and give a detailed report of the work that had been completed.

She also told her party leaders and workers to develop intimate contacts with people and ensure that the beneficiaries irrespective of their political affiliation get benefit of the schemes.

TMC workers in the blocks will organise rallies and the meetings will be addressed by district leaders. It was learnt that Banerjee had instructed that the people should know about the development work that had been carried out in the districts and blocks.

The areas that will be highlighted including health care system, water supply and schemes taken up by the self help groups.
