Trinamool gives privilege notice against Jaitley in RS

Trinamool Congress on Wednesday gave a notice for privilege motion against Finance Minister and Leader of Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley, alleging that he had misled the House on CBI investigation into Saradha scam.

In his notice, Trinamool leader Derek O’Brien said Jaitley had told the House on Monday that the “case (of CBI investigation into Saradha scam) is being monitored by Supreme Court. CBI acts independently in the case and reports to the Supreme Court. Government has nothing to do in the matter.”
