Trade fair records 1.5-lakh footfall

The 36th India International Trade Fair (IITF) witnessed around 1.5 lakh footfall on Sunday, better than a day ago. Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Nirmala Sitharaman has lauded the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) for hassle-free business transactions.  

The participants have also expressed their happiness over the improved footfall. The trade fair had witnessed a good visitor response on Saturday too. 

Brisk sale of various products was witnessed at the fair due to several initiatives taken by the ITPO to improve cashless transaction. Many visitors expressed happiness over their shopping experience. 

They recalled their previous years at the trade fair and lauded the organisers for facilities such as Wi-Fi, lounge for senior citizens at Gate No. 1, wheelchairs for differently-abled at various gates, free shuttle service on routes inside Pragati Maidan and dedicated bus service from Mandi House to Pragati Maidan.
