Tom Holland may join Daisy Ridley in Chaos Walking

The Impossible star Tom Holland is in talks to join actor Daisy Ridley in Lionsgate’s post-apocalyptic thriller Chaos Walking.

The 20-year-old actor might play the male lead of Todd Hewlitt, a boy who discovers a girl named Viola (Ridley) in a world, where a germ has supposedly killed all women, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Doug Liman is on board to direct the adaptation of the best-selling YA novel by Patrick Ness.

Oscar-winning screenwriter Charlie Kaufman (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) worked on the script, while Doug Davison, who produced Tom Cruise-starrer Mena, is producing alongside Allison Shearmur.

Holland is also looking forward to the release of his film Spider-Man: Homecoming, which stars him in the lead role of the webslinger.
