To get treated for dog bite, man enters North Block, calls cops

An unidentified middle-aged man allegedly <g data-gr-id="26">bitten</g> by a dog and in need of treatment entered the reception of Gate No 4 of the North Block as a visitor on Wednesday evening. North block houses the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Home Affairs.

According to police, he broke the glass of a table and made a PCR call himself. He allegedly did this so that he could be taken in police custody and get treated. His medical condition is yet to be ascertained.

“We got a call around 6.05 pm that an unidentified visitor had entered the premises. He broke the glass of a table at the reception for which we have detained him. He said that he was bitten by a dog and was not getting proper treatment. We are trying to inform his family members. We are also getting his medical examination done to ascertain the facts,” said Jatin Narwal, Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi). “Police are investigating the matter and further action will be taken as per the awaited medical reports,” he said.
