TMC to contest in at least five Lok Sabha seats in Rajasthan

Trinamool Congress will field its candidates in at least five Lok Sabha constituencies in Rajasthan in the upcoming parliamentary polls, with the party trying to mark its presence in all 33 districts of the state.

A state-level convention of the party would be held here on 22 February to draft strategy for the Lok Sabha elections, Trinamool’s Rajasthan state unit president Vijay Sarswat said at a press conference on Thursday.

The state unit would try to field candidates in maximum number of seats but not less than five, Sarswat said.

A number of Trinamool leaders, including former Union minister Sultan Ahmed and MP K D Singh, would address the convention, he said.
