TMC raises issue of CBI clean chit to Amit Shah

TMC, which is under attack over the Saradha chit fund scam, on Thursday raked up in Lok Sabha the clean chit given to BJP chief Amit Shah in cases probed by CBI, inviting sharp reactions from treasury benches.
TMC member Kalyan Banerjee in the Lok Sabha contended that CBI had said earlier that it had material against Shah but it changed tune after BJP came to power.
"After election, CBI says it (material) is not there," he said while participating in debate on the Motion of Thanks to the President's Address.
Shah was probed by the CBI in some criminal cases but he has either been discharged by court or the investigating agency decided not to prosecute him for want of evidence.
