TMC on Thursday lauded the performance of Election Commission in ensuring large percentage of polling in the ongoing West Bengal Assembly polls.
"The voting process has been good. The Election Commission has done a good job in ensuring that so many people could vote," TMC vice-president Mukul Roy said.
Asked about demands by the opposition for repoll in various booths in Domkol where a CPI(M) supporter was killed, Roy said "CPI(M) and Congress should stop fooling the people.
Both Adhir Chowdhury (WBPCC chief) and Surya Kanta Mishra (CPI-M state secretary) know actually what had happened."
When asked about the allegations by BJP that EC is not working properly, Roy said "It is an irony that BJP is accusing EC of not working properly and at the same time going to it and filing complaints against us."
