TMC activist killed in Murshidabad

A Trinamool Congress activist from Domkal in Murshidabad died after he received splinter injuries.
The incident occurred at Goraimari village area under the Domkal police station when some miscreants hurled bombs at the victim. The incident triggered tension in the area. The victim, Jairul Biswas was a resident of Goraimari village.

Trinamool Congress district leaders alleged that CPI(M) and Congress leaders conspired and engaged criminals to kill the victim because he had become instrumental in strengthen the political organisation in the area. The victim had also received threats from the miscreants for repeatedly. 

Though the Opposition parties denied the allegation and termed the incident as fallout of the inner-party clash.

The local people, however, said that a clash broke out between the two groups over the possession of the area. The village virtually turned into a battle field with the villagers shutting their doors and windows. The villages became scared as they heard the loud thud of bomb blasts. 

The situation did not improve till a huge contingent of police reached the spot. The miscreants, however, managed to flee the spot immediately after the incident. The groups had hurled bombs at one another. The miscreants also fired at one another but nobody had suffered a bullet injury.

Trinamool Congress’s booth secretary Jairul received severe bullet injury on his body. The local people found that the victim was lying on the road with profusely bleeding. The local people rushed him to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead.

Police are investing whether the victim died following a clash between the two anti-social groups. Police are yet to arrest anybody in this connection so far.
