Three killed, three injured while making bombs

The deceased were identified as Hatem Seikh (22), Basir Seikh (23) and Mrinal Seikh (21).
The victims have been admitted to Kandi sub-divisional hospital.

Police have started an investigation to ascertain why the accused were making bombs and if they were used during the election.

Police said the deceased and the injured were tying bombs on a ground on Monday night.
The local people heard the sound of bursting of crackers and rushed to the spot only to find that victims were lying in a pool of blood.

They were rescued and admitted to the nearby hospital. Police have recovered around 20 live bombs from the spot and also some raw materials.

Police were trying to know on whose instructions the accused were making bombs.

They were also trying to find out if some other people were involved in the incident.

Police are yet to arrest anybody in this connection so far.

It may be mentioned that on March 1 a clash broke out between two groups at the area in which two housewives were injured.

Police have started a probe to know if the miscreants were making the bombs to take revenge on their rival group.
