Three killed in truck accident in New Usmanpur

Three persons, including two pedestrians, were killed after a speeding truck ran over them at a traffic signal in the in New Usmanpur area of East Delhi on Saturday night, police said. 

The police said the errant truck driver managed to flee. However, his  vehicle has been impounded. 
Some eyewitnesses informed the police that one of the victims body stuck under the truck and was dragged to a few metres.  The deceased have been identified as Raj Bahadur (19), Hari Om (23) and Ram Mohan (33) – all residents of East Delhi. The police said Bahadur and Om were neighbours and worked as salesmen at a showroom in Chandni Chowk, while Ram Mohan was a milkman. Agitated over the incident, resident blocked traffic at the spot for a few minutes. They also tried to vandalise the truck.
