Three killed in China nursing home attack

At least three persons were killed and 15 others injured when a nursing worker randomly attacked people at a nursing home in central China on Thursday, on the first day of the Chinese Lunar New Year.

The attack occurred at Hunan Province’s Aixin Nursing Home in Yongfeng Township in the early hours, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.

Luo Renchu, 64, a nursing worker, randomly attacked elderly people and staff after a brawl with Fang Hongchun, 48, the owner of the nursing home.

He fled the scene after the attack and a efforts are on to nab him, the report said.

In a gruesome incident in November last year, six nurses and a co-worker at a Chinese military hospital were hacked to death by a disgruntled employee in a northeastern seaside resort town.
