Three Jamia students held for gangraping teen

On Monday, Delhi police arrested four people in their early 20s, including three Jamia Millia Islamia law students, for allegedly gang-raping a minor from Nepal.

According to the police, the victim is a 16-year-old girl and one of the accused had befriended her posing as a police official. He and his friends kept her locked in her own apartment in Defence Colony. From 15 November, she was living alone as her friends had shifted elsewhere.

According to the police, the girl had met Pulkit who told her he was a sub-inspector. Pulkit then introduced her to Amandeep, who pretended to be an advocate. When the two realised she was living alone, they raped her and kept her locked in. They  kept visiting her along with the other accused, and raped her for almost two weeks. ‘On 29 November, the victim managed to escape and lodged a complaint in the Defence Colony police station,’ the official added.
