Three held for running fake spare parts business

The Delhi Police on Sunday conducted raids on some shops in the Karol Bagh market and seized over 50,000 spare parts and fake packaging materials. Three persons have been arrested, police said.

The raids were conducted on three shops, which allegedly sold fake spare parts in violation to the Copyright & Trademark Laws, the police said. An FIR has been registered at the Karol Bagh Police Station. 

The police conducted the raids with Hero MotoCorp. Original Hero Genuine Parts bear the Unique Parts Identification (UPI) code and customers can confirm the genuineness of the part by sending UPI code through an SMS, the company said in a statement.
